In 2014, I stepped onto a fitness stage at 260 pounds of lean muscle. I was disciplined, focused, and in the best shape of my life.
But what happens after the lights fade? Life does.
Stress piled on. Then came illness. In 2021, I contracted a life-threatening case of COVID-19 and nearly died. The recovery left my metabolism wrecked and my willpower buried. I ballooned past 400 pounds — exhausted, hurting, ashamed.
But here’s the truth:
I do not believe in staying down.
I’ve fought my way back to the gym, the kitchen, and my values.
Every day is now part of the plan: to reclaim function, strength, and purpose. This isn’t a comeback to where I was — it’s a launch to where I’ve never been.
Stronger. Wiser. Grateful.
I’m not chasing a trophy. I’m chasing the ability to sprint again, lift again, lead again — and live ready.
If you’re rebuilding too, welcome.
We’ve got work to do.
